Treatment with Zoldonat 4 mg Injection

Zoldonat 4 mg Injection is used in the treatment of osteoporosis. It treats osteoporosis in postmenopausal women and men at high risk of fractures.

Self Care Tips :

Drink plenty of fluids to prevent dehydration and kidney damage.

It can lower the level of calcium in the blood. Take calcium and vitamin D supplements as suggested by your doctor.

You may develop fever or flu like symptoms, such as chills, tiredness and weakness. These are usually temporary and should go away after a few days. You may take a pain reliever/fever reducer to prevent or treat these symptoms.

Zoldonat 4 mg Injection may cause a rare condition called osteonecrosis of the jaw. Have regular dental check-ups and inform your doctor if you develop sudden pain in your jaw.

Your doctor will monitor your response to Zoldonat 4 mg Injection by testing your bone mineral density (BMD). This is usually done every 1-3 years.

Precautions :

The patient must take certain measures before and while using NZoldonat 4 mg Injection to ensure proper treatment and avoid any unreasonable scenario. These include :-

Zoldonat 4 mg Injection is unsafe to use during pregnancy.

There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.

Zoldonat 4 mg Injection is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.

Zoldonat 4 mg Injection may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.

There is limited information available on the use of Zoldonat 4 mg Injection in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.

There is limited information available on the use of Zoldonat 4 mg Injection in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.

Some of the side effects are :-

Headache, Back pain, Musculoskeletal (bone, muscle or joint) pain, Indigestion, Heartburn, Diarrhoea.

How Zoldonat Injection works

Zoldonat 4 mg Injection is a bisphosphonate. It works by suppressing the activity of osteoclasts, cells that cause destruction of bone. This strengthens the bones and minimizes the risk of fractures.
